About Nox

Enock Guni, born September 6, 1984, better known by his stage name Nox, is a Zimbabwean Urban Grooves singer, songwriter, performer and record producer. Native to Zaka, Masvingo, Nox studied at Ellis Robins and Morgan High Schools, and graduated from Midlands State University (MSU) with a marketing degree.

A very talented songwriter (love lyrical master), musician and performer, Nox has been tipped to be King of Urban Grooves by his fans. He is unquestionably one of the greatest musical talents Zimbabwe has ever produced.

Musical Journey

2002

The Beginning

Started music career after attending reality music show Superstar 2002. Joined SHAPE Zimbabwe Project at MSU where he was spotted by Roy and Royce Gomo who produced his first hit single "Iwe Maria".

2003

Wandipengesa

Released first album "Wandipengesa" which included the hit single "Iwe Maria" with its popular music video.

2005

Chigutiro Stable

Joined Chigutiro Stable and produced the album "Chigutiro Phase 2 Compilation". Together with Blush, penned "Chigutiro Anthem". His single "Ruvarangu" did extremely well on the charts.

2006

Rhythm and Blues

Released second album "Rhythm and Blues" featuring "Nguva Ichauya" with Cindy, which became his first number-one hit on Power FM's top 100 in 2007.

2007

Afrounik

Collaborated with Trevor Dongo and Tawanda to form the group Afrounik. Together released the smash hit album "Kana Musipo".

2008

Chapter 3

Released 3rd solo album "Chapter 3" with the smash hit "Ndinoshuwa" featuring Leonard Mapfumo. Later moved to South Africa where he is now based.

2009

Music Love and Me

Released fourth album with hits like "Iwe Rudo", "Garandichauya", and "Ndavenaye". "Wandinoda" was selected by SONY Music Africa for their One Africa compilation album.

2010

World Cup Recognition

"Wandinoda" featured at World Cup events alongside 2 Face, P Square, Jozi, and Nameless. Nox was the only Zimbabwean ambassador. Released "Zim's Finest: Tisu Tine Yese".

2011

Ice n Roses Founded

Released "Classic Love Songs" album and launched his own record label Ice n Roses Productions.

2021

My Melody Success

"My Melody" featuring Master KG reached #1 on MTV. Won Afro Pop Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Video of the Year, and Best International Artist.

Early Life

Born in Zaka, Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe, Nox's musical journey began when he attended the Superstar 2002 reality music show. While pursuing his marketing degree at Midlands State University (MSU), he joined the SHAPE Zimbabwe Project where his exceptional talent was discovered by renowned musicians Roy and Royce Gomo.

This meeting proved to be the turning point in his career, as Roy and Royce worked with him to produce his very first hit single "Iwe Maria" - a song that would launch one of Zimbabwe's most celebrated musical careers.
